Registration for CHEWV’s annual testing is open, and information is available here. You can test at one of our nine test centers throughout the state, or privately with a paper or online test.
However, we’ve changed some things about our registration this year — it’s now a two-step process. (Start those steps here.)
Step 1 is a short CHEWV form from which we create the WV-specific County and Progress Reports for parents.
Once you have submitted that form, the resultant confirmation screen will lead you straight into the final registration step at the CHEWV Parent Portal hosted at the BJUP Testing & Evaluation’s website. Once at the CHEWV Parent Portal, you will order and pay for your tests in that portal.
The Step 1 confirmation screen also links to a new page that walks you through the Parent Portal procedure.
For those who started the process before our recent changes, you may have questions. Find answers here. If you did not complete both steps, please contact testing@chewv.org right away.
When you test with CHEWV,
- you are helping the homeschool legislative effort by participating in CHEWV’s group scores.
- you receive CHEWV’s WV-specific score reports for your records and for submission to the county in the required years.
- you have the option of testing with others at CHEWV Test Centers.
- we ensure that the test you use meets the requirements of the WV code. (BJU Press offers options that don’t.)
