DMV Issue Resolved

by | Feb 8, 2022 | News

With the help of HSLDA, a DMV issue, reported on last month, has been congenially resolved. The “rest of the story” is recounted by HSLDA attorney Mike Donnelly here.

As Adam Holley, the division’s general counsel (and father of two homeschool graduates), worked to resolve the issue, he shared with Mike:

With a parent proctor, a homeschooled student or any other student can take the learner’s permit test online from their home…  We started this new process at the start of the pandemic, and we see no reason to stop it. It’s a great option for new drivers and makes life easier for parents.”

West Virginia homeschoolers can learn more about this option here.

A representative of the DMV attended Home School Day at the Capitol to address homeschool families – which soundly demonstrates that issues can often be settled amicably.
