Hope Students and Test Scores

We are asked frequently about test score reports for Hope Scholarship recipients and are happy to help clarify!

In the early days of the Hope Scholarship program, CHEWV (and others) were informed by the state BOE that Hope students may only submit publisher score reports if using testing for their required annual assessment. That means that the state does not allow HOPE Scholarship students to submit CHEWV’s County Reports for their yearly county submission.

CHEWV reports will continue to assist parents in determining acceptable progress, since the required results for standardized testing standards are the same for both exemptions c and m.  Although CHEWV’s County Report has been accepted by all fifty-five counties for private homeschoolers for over thirty years, Hope families are required to submit the more extensive report received from BJUP.
